Christmas Time 2008

Christmas 2008 marks my first year living with my new family in Tallangatta. I am very settled now and enjoy my very early morning walks. Visitors are another thing though! I seem to take a while to get to know people that I have not met before. Sometimes I get rather grumpy (Rumpy) hehe, if people expect me to just like them when I have not met or had time to think about if I indeed do like them. Usually in the end I end up liking them.

Here I Am

Because Dachshunds are not meant to jump off things, the rules of the house are that I must not sleep on the lounge. When I went for a sleep over at Bob's house I got cold in the middle of the night when the heater went off. I had to burrow under the blanky on the lounge. I was fast asleep and I never heard Bob calling, next minute he was taking my photo so early in the morning.

Rumpolds Winter Coat

Winter can be very chilly here in North East Victoria. The jacket is soft and warm and Rumpold just loves to wear it. We always get a giggle on our walkies when people first see the coat then the dog. Oh its a sausage dog! Without the coat we get just as many comments as he is a very handsome dog.
